Bryan Drinchich was born in Montenegro in 1959. The son
of a family with a tradition of fine furniture making for several generations, his apprenticeship began in his early teens under the tutelage of his father
an acknowledged Old World furniture craftsman.
After studying in Belgrade, Bryan relocated to America where he soon became active in the building trade. Although not completely forgotten, designing and making furniture was limited to his personal use and for a few special friends.
The demand for more pieces began to escalate from friends an professionals alike, impressed by the boldness of his pieces and his obvious mastery of the woods.
They urged him to devote his full time to his art. And what art it is!
A “Drinchich” designed and executed piece is not for the timid. Mirroring the strong, rugged mountainous terrain of his homeland, each piece represents a definitive statement of the art of wood crafting. Distinctive in its quality, obvious in its passion, each piece is unique in design and sense of style. Each piece is signed and dated.
Married with two children the artist has chosen now to devote himself full time to design and crafting of individual handmade pieces from his L.A. studio. Those fortunate enough to acquire “Drinchich” designs will have their surroundings graced by a master crafted piece that adds a new dimension to the art of furniture. |
